PlentiPlex MSI assays are intended for evaluation of impaired mismatch repair (MMR) and the resulting microsatellite instability affecting prognosis and selection of treatment in cancer patients.This MSI assays offer two different multiplexed MSI assays for the length analysis of five microsatellite loci. This makes the MSI assays valuable stratification tools for assisting cancer treatment planning. 

The test will provide an assessment of the presence of microsatellite instability in well-known validated loci used in the clinic to detect DNA mismatch repair deficiency (dMMR). 

Immune checkpoint inhibitors have been shown to be effective among colorectal cancer patients with dMMR tumors.
